Prior to joining HGF, Tammy Dollin directed the establishment of Ramah in the Rockies, focusing on project management, fundraising, and board development. Tammy holds Masters degrees from Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary, and an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley. Nanette Fridman

Founder, Fridman Strategies
Nanette Fridman is a catalyst for values-driven organizations and leaders. She founded Fridman Strategies in 2006 to assist organizations with the strategies, training, and coaching to advance their missions and maximize their impact. Today her work focuses on governance, fundraising, strategic planning, and leadership and team development. Nanette’s clients range from small start-ups to large international organizations. Nanette is the author of On Board: What Every Board Member Must Know about Nonprofits and Board Service. A regular blogger, her articles can be seen on eJewishPhilantropy, massnonprofit news, and other publications. Before founding Fridman Strategies, Nanette was a corporate attorney and helped her firm launch their Israel business practice. Prior to her legal career, Nanette was the national field director for an advocacy organization in Washington, DC. Nanette earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, and MA in public policy from Georgetown University. She received her BA, summa cum laude, in political science from Tufts University. Harold Grinspoon

Founder, Harold Grinspoon Foundation
Harold Grinspoon, the founder of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation along with his wife Diane Troderman, is a real estate entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is also the visionary behind HGF’s key programs: PJ Library, JCamp 180, LIFE & LEGACY and Voices & Visions. Harold and Diane have also established the Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation, which supports educational initiatives for inner city youth in Springfield, MA, recognizes Western MA teachers for professional excellence, encourages entrepreneurship and supports educational and health projects in Cambodia. In June 2015 Harold and Diane signed Warren Buffet’s Giving Pledge, committing to donate more than half their wealth to charitable causes.

Winnie Sandler Grinspoon

President, Harold Grinspoon Foundation
Winnie Sandler Grinspoon assumed the role of president of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation in June 2014. Winnie added this role to her long tenure as trustee of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. Prior to her work in philanthropy, Winnie practiced law, first in New York (Stroock & Stroock & Lavan) and Boston (Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, now K&L Gates), and more recently in her own law practice. Winnie holds a BS from Cornell University and a JD from Fordham University.

Dena M. Kaufman, CFRE, CAP®

LIFE & LEGACY Community Consultant
Prior to joining HGF, Dena Kaufman was the Director of Philanthropy for Sojourner Center, the nation’s largest domestic violence shelter. Her professional career has also included 9 years at the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix in various campaign roles and Development Director at URJ Camp Newman. Dena has a degree in Business, Public, and Private Administration from the University of California, Riverside, is a Certified Fundraising Executive and a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy. Elizabeth Leiman Kraiem

Senior Consultant, Jewish Ethical Wills Project​
In her capacity as senior consultant to the Jewish Ethical Wills Project at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, Elizabeth Leiman Kraiem co-authored the curriculum Jewish Ethical Wills: a Values Vault for Future Generations and has presented on ethical wills to groups that include the Jewish Women’s Foundation of New York, Let’s Reimagine End of Life San Francisco and New York, the Jewish Spiritual Care Collaborative, the Wise Aging program of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, and synagogues in the metropolitan New York area. She brings to this work a background in philanthropy, law, and Jewish education, most recently as executive director of the Jewish Foundation for Education of Women and previously as a member of the first professional team at the Nathan Cummings foundation. She earned a BA from Harvard University and a JD from Yale Law School and has studied at Drisha. She and her husband have two adult children and live in New York City. Karen Martin

Founder, Karen the Writer, Executive Editor, Giving Tomorrow​
Karen Martin writes words that make you angry, sad, happy, and hopeful – because when you feel, you act. Karen’s ability to connect to emotions has put her in high demand with nonprofits who seek her out to craft appeals that frequently surpass their goals. Tracy Salkowitz, MSW

Consultant
Tracy Salkowitz has a master’s in community social work and over 36 years of experience in nonprofit management. Over the course of her career, she has been honored to have had such varied experiences as running a Jewish civil rights organization; serving as planning director of Alameda County Social Services, and serving as a consultant for Jewish reproductive health and civil rights organizations. Most recently she served as the CEO of the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona. Arlene D. Schiff

National Director, LIFE & LEGACY
Prior to joining HGF in 2013, Arlene D. Schiff served as the executive director of the Jewish Federation of the Berkshires. During her 12-year tenure she provided visionary leadership while devising and executing strategic plans that centered on community building and garnering support for philanthropic giving. Dr. Laura Sicola

Leadership Communication Expert, Author, Founder, Vocal Impact Productions​
Dr. Laura Sicola’s mission is to turn executives and other leaders into master influencers. She has spent nearly 20 years in leadership, communication, and education, and has done coaching, trainings, and key note addresses for clients including Comcast, the US Department of Commerce, IBM, and Women Against Abuse. Her TEDX talk – “Want to sound like a leader? Start by saying your name, right?” has 5 million views. Andrés Spokoiny

President & CEO, Jewish Funders Network
The Jewish Funders Network works with Jewish funders, at the individual and collective levels, to improve the quality of their giving and maximize their impact as they make the change they want to see in the world. JFN leverages the power and the creativity of networks to produce change in the Jewish world. Andrés Spokoiny is a long-time Jewish communal leader with a history of leading successful organizational transformations. He served as the CEO of Federation CJA in Montreal and, prior to that, worked for the American Jewish Joint Distribution Community (JDC) in Paris. While at JDC, Andrés also served as the director of Leatid Europe, a leadership training institute for Jewish lay and professional leaders, and directed the International Center for Community Development, a partnership of JDC and Oxford University, to produce applied research and knowledge management for community development practitioners. Originally from Argentina, Andrés has a multidisciplinary academic background including business, education, and rabbinical studies in different institutions around the world. Lani Starkey, JD, LLM, CPA

Founder, Fifty Rock Consulting
Lani Starkey is a nationally recognized philanthropic planning expert as well as an accomplished consultant, fundraiser, tax attorney, former accountant, professor, coach, presenter, trainer, mentor and speaker. He frequently presents at conferences and meetings across the country on innovative fundraising strategies as well as traditional development best practices. Lani is an adjunct professor at the Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he teaches a course in tax and estate planning to graduate and undergraduate business students. Previously he was associate vice president at University of Hawaii Foundation, where he was a lead gift strategist and partnered with academic leadership, a large team of development staff, and professional advisors to achieve innovative, high-impact, donor-centric solutions. Prior to the Foundation, Lani was a vice president and staff attorney at Crescendo Interactive Inc., where he taught over 30 tax seminars each year, consulted with nonprofits and professional advisors, and researched and wrote tax articles. Lani earned his LLM in tax from the University of Florida’s Graduate Tax Program, his JD cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law, and his BA in accounting from Texas State University. Jeffrey Stein

Alli Thresher joined the Harold Grinspoon Foundation in 2016 after a decade working in STEM fields. Prior to working with PJ Library, Alli was a video game designer, consultant and social media instructor and strategist. Over the years she has also consulted for a number of small businesses, arts organizations, and nonprofits helping with website reviews, social media strategies, blog design, content creation, and digital marketing. Rabbi Abigail Treu

Director, The Center for Jewish Living and The David H. Sonabend Center for Israel
Rabbi Abigail Treu comes to the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan from the National Ramah Commission, where she built an alumni and community network engaging thousands of Ramah alumni and friends as director of strategic advancement and Reshet Ramah. She previously served as a Rabbinic Fellow at The Jewish Theological Seminary, teaching, writing, and leading High Holiday services, as well as in a number of development roles. Abby has served on the board of Big Tent Judaism, working to build Jewish communities welcoming to all kinds of Jewish families, as well as on the Women’s Committee of the Rabbinical Assembly, and is an alumna of the Clergy Training Program of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. In 2005, she co-authored, with Dov Peretz Elkins, The Bible’s Top 50 Ideas, and she has written a number of articles and op-eds.
